JOEL OSTEEN SIGNS PUBLISHING AGREEMENT WITH FAITHWORDS
(NASHVILLE, TN) Hachette Book Group announced today that it has signed Joel Osteen, pastor of American’s largest church and bestselling author, to a publishing agreement. The first book is scheduled for publication in September 2011 on the FaithWords imprint.
Osteen is the senior pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, where approximately 40,000 people attend services every weekend. His services are televised around the world. His books have sold millions of copies and each has been a national bestseller.
“We are thrilled that Pastor Joel Osteen is returning to Hachette,” said Rolf Zettersten, Senior Vice President and Publisher for FaithWords. “His message offers hope, inspiration and motivation to millions of readers. We intend to serve him with a very aggressive and creative publishing program.”
FaithWords published Osteen’s first book, Your Best Life Now, and it resided more than 2 years on the New York Times bestseller list as well as several international lists. Hachette has sold more than 8 million copies of Osteen’s books to date.

The books were acquired by Rolf Zettersten from Jan Miller of Dupree Miller & Associates.
