It’s an E-mergency! The letter E took a tumble and the only way to get her back on her foot is for people to stop using her. But who can take her place? The other letters have to make a decision ASAP. Z is too sleepy and Y asks way too many questions. Thankfully, O rolls in to try and save the day. Now E can rost up and got bottor . . . as long as ovorybody follows the rulos. Chock-full of verbal and visual puns, this zany book is sure to tickle both the brain and the funny bone.

Tom Lichtenheld loves drawing pictures and telling silly stories. His books include the New York Times best sellers Duck! Rabbit!, Shark Vs. Train, and Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site. He lives in Geneva, Illinois.

The Notebook’ Author Nicholas Sparks Sells Drama to ABC

“The Watchers” marks the writer’s first original project for television.

Nicholas Sparks

The Notebook author Nicholas Sparks has found a home at ABC.

The author has sold The Watchers, an original drama concept, to the network.

The project revolves around the Archangel Raphael, who after spending centuries as a Watcher and invisibly providing support to humans in the time of need, decides to cut off his wings out of love for Sarah, a mortal woman, so that he can truly be with her for the rest of her days.

When Sarah’s life is cut short, Rafe is left to wander the Earth solo as a fallen angel. Dependent on the kindness of strangers and hunted by angels from above and below, Rafe travels undercover, performing miracles as he searches for the meaning of loss and clues to Sarah’s fate.

Temple Hill Entertainment, the production company behind the feature adaptation of Sparks’ Dear John, is on board to produce alongside ABC Studios.

Sparks and Kristin Hahn (The Time Traveler’s Wife) wrote the script for the project, with the best-selling author executive producing alongside Temple Hill.

Several of Sparks’ novels have successfully been adapted for the big screen: Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John and The Last Song, with The Lucky One, Safe Haven and The Best of Me all in various stages of production.

Watchers would mark the scribe’s first original project for television.
